On this trip, the magnet students camp in tents at Lignumvite State Park. The students go to the kayaking center and kayak around the mangroves of Key Largo to stregthen their kayaking abilities. Then they travel to Lignumvite where they set up camp and have a cookout with the Cook "Bob". The next day the students kayak to Indian Key, which has an enriched history, some of which being known as a haunted island. The students discover the old ways of life on the island. The final day the students participated in a beach clean up and finally return home.
